Helshiron Fisheries Ltd. Has produced and marketed high quality seafood products since 1971. The company is a family owned company located in a small fishing village of Seal Cove on Grand Manan Island. Grand Manan Island is in the Bay of Fundy, home to the highest tides in the world. The large tides make a perfect environment to grow Atlantic Salmon. Helshiron Fisheries' sister company, Benson Aquaculture Limited, has been growing Atlantic Salmon since 1999. In 2005, Helshiron Fisheries expanded to include Island Smokers. Island Smokers handles hot smoked salmon smoked from fresh farmed salmon raised in the pristine Bay of Fundy. Island Smokers is federally registered by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, with HACCP and a quality control program.
